Matte-blue Hanukkah lamps, dreidels, stars and blue/gray gelt wrappers with olive foliage decorate this tree skirt sewing project. Supply your own backing, optional batting and binding.
This is a physical printed fabric panel for sewing, not a finished tree skirt. Purchase finishing supplies separately.
Choose your size
Each size option provides the printed top for one skirt. A printed six-page sewing guide comes with every panel or two-section set.
| Panel size and finished diameter | What you receive |
|---|---|
| 43 × 43 inches — single panel Approx. 42 inches across when finished |
One 43 × 43-inch printed fabric panel. |
| 54 × 54 inches — two-section set Approx. 53 inches across when finished |
Both matching LEFT and RIGHT printed sections, each 27½ × 54 inches. Trim and join as directed to create the 54 × 54-inch layout. |
Size options describe the square panel layout before cutting. Finished measurements vary with quilting and finishing. The large set makes one skirt; its two sections are not separate skirts.
Printed guides and sewing instructions
Cutting guides mark the circular edge, a 6-inch center opening and the back opening. Concise instructions are printed in the corners that will be cut away, with a separate detailed guide for assembly, quilting and binding. Photograph or save all four instruction corners before cutting, and keep the scraps until your skirt is finished.
Check the center opening against your tree before cutting. The guide explains how to enlarge it if needed.

What you’ll need
- 43-inch panel: a 48 × 48-inch backing square, optional batting of the same size and ¾ yard of binding fabric.
- 54-inch set: a 60 × 60-inch backing square, optional batting of the same size and 1 yard of binding fabric.
- Either size: Thread and standard sewing tools.
The detailed guide includes backing yardage and cutting instructions. These supply sizes allow for home-machine quilting; a longarm quilter may need larger backing and batting.
Sewing level
Confident beginner. You’ll quilt the layers, cut the openings, finish the curves with true-bias binding. Practicing curved binding on scraps is helpful. The 54-inch set also requires joining the two printed sections.
