One 24 × 51-inch printed fabric panel makes one runner.
Top and instructions
One 18 × 50-inch wholecloth top with a continuous pale blue border and a removable strip of sewing instructions. Cut off and save the instructions before trimming the top.
Finished size
Approximately 16 × 48 inches after quilting, squaring and binding. Actual size depends on quilting take-up.
Layer with backing and batting, quilt, square the edges, then add separate binding.
Supplies to add
Backing: 1⅝ yards of quilting cotton, at least 42 inches usable width; cut one 22 × 54-inch piece.
Batting: one 22 × 54-inch low-loft piece.
Binding: ⅜ yard; cut four 2½-inch-wide strips with 40 inches usable length each.
Coordinating thread, basting supplies and basic quilting tools.
The finished-project scene is an illustration showing how the sewn runner could look. Backing, batting, binding and table accessories are not included.
