Sew round Hanukkah placemats from a premium quilting-cotton fabric panel. The approved Hanukkah Lights artwork uses matte navy, cobalt, pale blue, soft gray and olive on white.

Festival Lights: nine-candle hanukkiah with a raised center shamash and olive branches.

Dreidel Celebration: two blue dreidels with olive foliage.

Star and Olive: a six-point blue star with olive and pale-blue flowers.

Festival Gelt: three matte blue and gray wrapped chocolate-coin motifs with six-point stars and navy ribbon.
Panel and finished size
- Printed panel: 43 inches wide x 36 inches long, including a removable sewing-instruction band.
- Four 17 x 17-inch front blanks per panel.
- Nominal finished size: approximately 15 inches in diameter per placemat before laundering.
Quilt first, then trim and bind
Quilt square sandwiches, then measure and trim fresh 15-inch circles and finish with true 45-degree bias binding. Attach binding with a 1/4-inch seam. Quilting, pressing and laundering affect final size.
Finishing supplies
Supply 1-1/4 yards backing cotton with at least 38 x 38 usable inches, at least 40 x 40 inches low-loft batting, and 1 yard coordinating binding cotton with at least 32 x 32 usable inches. Cut four 19-inch backing and batting squares, and four 16-inch binding squares. Prepare four 2-1/4-inch-wide true-bias strips, each at least 60 inches long. Also supply thread and sewing tools. The printed cotton front panel is included; backing, batting and binding are separate. This is a sewing panel, not finished placemats.
The guide includes illustrated sewing steps, a true-bias cutting diagram, a scale-checked quarter-circle template, materials and reproduction permissions. New Hanukkah physical print-and-sew performance has not been verified.
