Sew four coordinating quilted placemats for your Hanukkah table. Hanukkah Lights pairs matte navy, cobalt, pale blue and soft gray with olive foliage on a white ground. Each front features one coordinated design: Festival Lights, Dreidel Celebration, Star and Olive, or Festival Gelt. Add your own backing, batting and separate binding.

A removable 4-inch materials and finishing instruction strip along the bottom. |
Cut off and save the bottom instruction strip. Divide the remaining 40 × 32-inch area into four 20 × 16-inch fronts. Layer and quilt each front, square it to 18 × 14 inches, and attach separate double-fold binding.
For all four placemats, supply 1¼ yards of nondirectional backing fabric with at least 36 inches of usable width and 44 inches of usable length, four 22 × 18-inch pieces of low-loft batting, ⅝ yard of binding fabric, and thread. Directional backing may require more fabric.
