Shop the Hanukkah Lights collection
Sew eight coordinating Hanukkah coasters from one premium cotton fabric panel. Four motifs are printed twice each: a single candle, a dreidel, a Star of David with olive foliage and a matte blue wrapped-coin design. The Hanukkah Lights collection pairs matte navy, cobalt, pale blue and soft gray with olive foliage on white.
Panel and finished size

Printed panel: 43 inches wide x 9 inches long, including detachable sewing and materials instructions.

Yield: eight printed coaster fronts.

Cut size: 5 x 5 inches per front, with 1/4-inch seam allowances included.

Finished size: approximately 4-1/2 inches square; sewing, batting loft and quilting affect the final size.
Sew, turn and topstitch
Layer each printed front with customer-supplied backing and low-loft cotton batting. Sew a 1/4-inch seam, leave an opening, turn, press and topstitch. Add light quilting as desired. The main method requires no separate binding; the guide also explains an optional bound-edge approach.
You supply
One cotton backing fat quarter at least 18 x 21 inches, or 1/4 yard with at least 40 inches usable width; at least 20 x 10 inches of low-loft cotton batting; coordinating thread and usual sewing tools. Backing, batting, thread and optional binding are not included. This is a fabric sewing panel, not finished coasters.
